and the rest is history!!!

Christmas 2008

The most wonderful time of the year! Karl and I enjoyed our first Christmas as husband and wife. Our first Christmas tree...Mom and Niva at Christmas dinner...

Aniva and Tenny enjoying some sibling time together. It was Tenny's first Christmas home after his mission...

Karl enjoying one of his Christmas gifts-- a Knives of Alaska knife, complete with gut hook!! What can I say, I love my handsome hunter! (note, I did NOT get a knife for Christmas!)

It was a wonderful holiday, and though we missed Ana, Eddie and the boys, we enjoyed spending Christmas Eve with Karl's family and Christmas day with Mom, Aniva, Tenny, Mike and my soon-to-be new brother-in-law, David.

In Memory of Smokey

It was a sad day this past Monday as Karl said goodbye to his dear old friend, Smokey. Smokey, aka Smoke Dog, was Karl's faithful friend and companion for the past 12 years-- a ripe old age for such a big dog. A husky/German Shepherd mix, Smokey was a former cage fighter (not really, but Karl liked saying that), had a heart of gold and was loved by all who got a chance to meet him. We'll miss you Smokey!!
